Belmont Cameli, the 28-year-old rising star best known for his role as hockey player Garrett Graham on the series Off Campus, has left fans awestruck—not for a performance on screen, but for an act of extraordinary generosity. Beyond his athletic past and television fame, Cameli has shown an unshakable compassion, donating a kidney to a complete stranger in need.
From an early age, Cameli gravitated toward filmmaking, creating amateur projects with siblings and friends. Though he initially pursued higher education, he left college after a year, unwilling to follow a traditional corporate path. “Acting felt like the first step toward my dream, but I knew I needed to really learn the craft,” he explained. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles and landed a role on Saved by the Bell in 2019, which he describes as his “real cinematic training ground.”

Yet a more profound chapter unfolded in 2018, known only recently to his fans. Cameli’s childhood friend Brendan Flaherty suffered from kidney failure and desperately needed a transplant, yet no compatible donors were available in his circle. Belmont, unable to help Brendan directly at the time, joined a specialized donor-matching program that pairs willing individuals with patients in urgent need. Through his donation, a chain reaction began: fourteen participants were eventually connected, saving seven patients with kidney failure. Later, Brendan himself received a transplant, fulfilling a long-awaited hope.
Reflecting on his decision, Cameli shared on social media, “The pain fades fast, the scars heal, but the love and purpose this experience has given my heart will stay forever.” Fans have praised the actor not only for his on-screen talent but also for this remarkable act of humanity, seeing him as a role model whose heart is as strong as his career ambition.
