Zahara Jolie Takes a Stand: Drops Pitt Name in Legal Move

Zahara, the eldest daughter of Brad Pitt, has officially filed to remove Pitt from her legal name. The 21-year-old submitted documents to the Los Angeles Superior Court to be recognized as Zahara Marley Jolie, formally distancing herself from her father’s surname.

Interestingly, Zahara has already been going by Jolie in practice. Back in 2023, she used only her mother’s name when joining her college sorority, signaling a preference that is now being backed by legal recognition.

She’s not the first of Brad and Angelina’s children to make this choice. Shiloh and Maddox previously took formal steps to drop Pitt from their names once they reached adulthood, while Vivienne and Pax have also been publicly using their mother’s surname, though official filings haven’t been submitted yet. Details about their youngest, Knox, remain scarce, though fans recently compared him to a young Brad Pitt in Fight Club after seeing a video from his boxing ring.
